Shipping policy
House of Karmah Apparel Private Limited ships within India and internationally. This policy explains our processing windows, carriers, transit times, and our position on duties and taxes.
1. Processing time
Processing time is the period between order placement and the generation of a shipping label. Processing times vary by product type:
- Ready-to-ship items (already in stock): 2 business days
- Made-to-measure items (stitched to your measurements): 10 to 14 business days
- Bridal pieces and full bridal commissions: 4 to 6 weeks, or as specified on the individual product page
Business days are Monday through Saturday, excluding Indian public holidays. We email your tracking link as soon as your order is dispatched.
2. Shipping carriers
We dispatch domestic shipments via Delhivery and Bluedart, and international shipments via DHL Express. Shipping is charged as a flat rate by destination — a single flat fee for delivery anywhere in India, and a flat fee for international delivery. You will see the exact shipping cost at checkout before placing your order.
3. Transit time after dispatch
Transit time is the period between dispatch and delivery. Estimated transit windows:
- India metro cities (Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune): 3 to 5 business days
- India non-metro cities: 5 to 8 business days
- UAE, Singapore, and other Middle East and South Asia destinations: 3 to 5 business days
- United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and European Union: 5 to 9 business days
International transit times are post-customs-clearance and assume no carrier or customs delays. Total estimated delivery time for any order = processing time + transit time. Bridal and made-to-measure orders should be placed at least eight weeks before any event date.
4. International duties and taxes
Import duties, customs charges, and local taxes on international orders are not included in the price you pay at checkout. They are the responsibility of the recipient and are collected separately by the courier (DHL Express) or your local customs authority at the time of delivery (DDU — Delivered Duty Unpaid). These charges are set by the destination country’s customs authority, not by House of Karmah, and vary by country and order value. We recommend checking your country’s import rules before placing an international order. Orders that are refused or returned because duties or taxes were left unpaid are treated as customer-side returns under Section 9 below.
5. Cash on delivery
We do not offer cash on delivery. All orders are prepaid.
6. Boutique pickup
Delhi-NCR customers may opt to pick up their order from our boutique. Select “Pickup” at checkout if available, or contact us at houseofkarmahofficial@gmail.com after ordering to arrange. Boutique address:

Boutique hours: Monday to Saturday, 11:00 to 19:00 IST. Closed Sunday.
7. Order tracking
You will receive an email with the courier name and tracking number as soon as your order is dispatched. You can track your order using the link in that email.
8. Lost or delayed shipments
If your shipment is delayed beyond the estimated delivery window above, please contact us at houseofkarmahofficial@gmail.com or +91 98108 21913 with your order number. We will coordinate with the carrier to locate the shipment. In the rare event a shipment is confirmed lost in transit by the carrier, we will issue a full replacement subject to stock availability, or store credit at our discretion.
9. Failed delivery attempts
If a shipment is returned to us due to repeated failed delivery attempts, an incorrect address provided by the customer, or refusal of delivery, the customer is responsible for the cost of redelivery. Refunds will not be issued for orders that are returned to us as undelivered due to customer-side reasons.
